I'm Dr. Dan (a.k.a. Daniel Raether, D.D.S., M.S.) and I have been Camp Director here at Camp Smile for 18 years! Long time, huh? I have three teenage children, who, just like you, come to see us at Camp Smile. My wife and I live in St. Louis Park where our children attend school at Benilde-St. Margaret's. When I'm not at Camp Smile, I enjoy running, cross-country and downhill skiing, and wakeboarding.
Dr. Daniel Raether graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and completed his residency program there in 1987. He moved to Sweden, where he taught pediatric dentistry for one year. In 1989 he moved to Mankato and practiced pediatric dentistry for 3 years. Since 1992 he has lived in Minneapolis and opened Camp Smile Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Raether is very active in the Minnesota Dental Association and both the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Minnesota Association of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
